We started writing One Pill before the pandemic, thinking about all the different ways people numb out in society to run away from difficult feelings. Then when COVID hit, the themes of disconnection, isolation, and escape took on a whole new meaning for us, so One Pill is kind of a wake up call to ourselves and to others to make sure, no matter what challenges we face, we’re all living the lives we truly want and aren’t just flying on autopilot.
